The AIS Band on tour
The Arts is an important curriculum area at Avalon Intemediate. We are proud of the skills our students have when performing and provide different opportunities for students to develop and share their learning in this area.
Kapa Haka
Matua Jonas Malmanche runs the school Kapa Haka. The Kapa Haka group meet on Friday mornings for 45 minutes and learn a range of waiata and haka.
Poly Club
Our cultural group is run by Miss Poasa on Wednesday afternoons. Students are working together to learn about the Pacific through cultural performance.
Languages Programme
Our languages programme runs in Term 3 and Term 4. Students select from a range of languages that are offered and attend these lessons on Friday mornings for 45 minutes. The languages available include Spanish, German, French, Samoan, Cook Island Maori and Tongan.
