4th February 2019 for Year 7 students only

5th February 2019 all students

  • All students to meet on the concrete area outside the school hall.  Students will then enter the hall where their classroom and teacher will be announced. Parents/caregivers are welcome to accompany their child.
  • Be in correct uniform including your hat (all uniform should be named)
  • Have all your stationery with you
  • Bring morning tea, a drink and a packed lunch.
  • The canteen will not be open until 7th February 2019.

Technology fee: Our compulsory technology fee is $80 per student per year.  This fee covers the ‘take home’ materials or ingredients your child uses in their technology lessons. There is an expectation that this will be paid in Term 1.

Automatic Payments: (A VERY GOOD AND HELPFUL IDEA)

We encourage families to set up automatic payments (APs) as many have found this a great way to spread payments.  AP forms are included with this letter;   use your child’s name as the reference.  Please, this is by far the best way to deal with payments during the year - $5 a week will basically cover everything.

Term 1: Monday March 18th – Whole school staff Professional Development Day

Term 2: Tuesday June 4th Kahui Ako / Community of Learning Day. 17 Schools in Taita / Stokes Valley / Naenae are closing this day

The school office will be open from Monday 28th January 2019 for any queries or quotes.

Thank you for choosing Avalon Intermediate for your child’s education and we look forward to meeting you next year.
