NEWSLETTER TERM 4 – WEEK 6

CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations to Hera Thompson who competed at the Taekwondo National Champs in Porirua. She won a Silver medal and competed with great sportsmanship. We are very proud.

Well done Riana Shaw for winning the gold card draw yesterday and to Danaka Cains who received the Principal’s Award for her positive and mature attitude at our school.

WAINUIOMATA POOLS TRIP

On Thursday 5th December we are taking the school to Wainuiomata Pools as a day out for our school. If you are able to come along as adult help, please let your child’s classroom teacher know. We will have a sausage sizzle on the day (free) but students will also need to bring a packed lunch and bottle of water.

YEAR 8 DINNER

We sent invitations out today to our Year 8 dinner which will be on Thursday 12th December at the Upper Hutt Cossie Club. The cost for this dinner is $30 which pays for dinner and entertainment. If your child would like to go, please return the attached form as soon as possible.

MARKET DAY

Our inquiry focus this term has been around Enterprise and we will have our Market Day on Wednesday 11th December from 12pm - 2pm. We hope to have whanau come down to check out the stalls and make some purchases! There are a lot of surveys being taken at the moment and the students are very excited as they prepare for the big event.

ENROLMENTS FOR 2020

A reminder that all Year 8 students should now be enrolled in a college for 2020. We have finished meeting with the colleges. This helps to ensure  these students transition as smoothly as possible. Likewise we are also meeting with our contributing schools, if you have any children coming to AIS next year, please return an enrolment form as soon as possible. We are currently making up our classes for 2020.
