NORTH EAST PATHWAYS SPORTS PROJECT

You will all by now be fully aware of the work we are doing alongside the Hutt City Council and Sports New Zealand regarding Sport in School and trying to increase participation from students.  This has been very worthwhile throughout 2015 with all students being exposed to different sports coaching alongside coaching experts and their classroom teachers.  A requirement of the project is to gather data and we ask that all parents/guardians complete the Parents/Carers Survey accompanying this newsletter.  Students will also complete a survey at school as will all teachers at Avalon Intermediate.  Thank you for your help in completing this survey.  Can they all be returned to school by Wednesday 21st October please?   We will do 2 lucky draws for the all surveys completed and back to school by the 21st of $50 Pak n Save vouchers.

NZ VEGETARIAN SOCIETY VIDEO COMPETITION

Congratulations to all students involved in the creation of the Healthy Wrap.  We won $500 from N Z Vegetarian Society video competition, Intermediate category.  We have a chance to win the people’s choice award which is the grand prize.  Go to the Avalon Intermediate website to vote for us please. www.avalonintermediate.school.nz. The extra $1,000 would be great.
