This is an extremely busy term for our school and we would like you to note the following in your diary:

SCHOOL CAMPS –

School Camps:

On the Fridays at the end of the camps the buses will return to school about 2.30pm in time to catch the school bus home or be picked up by you.  Please DO NOT PARK in the school drive as a safety issue - it will be a very busy place after the students arrive back.

WATER TANK FOR OUR GARDEN

We would like to thank HUTT MANA CHARITABLE TRUST for their very kind donation of a grant to purchase a 5,700 litre water tank under the Proposals for Energy Efficiency Projects.  This is now on site.

                OUTLOOK FOR SOMEDAY FILM AWARDS
Two of our films have been shortlisted to the final 40 films  ‘The Healthy Wrap’ and ‘The Plastic Producers’.  They can be seen on our school website.  We are crossing our fingers for yet another video win!

HUTT CITY COUNCIL SURVEY

Jinkeng Lei from Room 1 and Caitlin O’Sullivan Young from Room 3  had their names drawn out from the return of the surveys from parents/caregivers that were completed and returned.  Great – you two have won a $50 Pak n Save voucher each for your families.  Thank you for all the surveys.

MAGIC CARDS AND WALTER NASH CENTRE

As I have said before we are privileged to have the free use of MAGIC CARDS for our public libraries and public pools.  We are also very lucky to have the WALTER NASH CENTRE.  It is vital that ALL AIS students using the new centre use it positively.  It is OUR PATCH – we look after it.  Only the best of behaviour is expected from our students using the facility.

The Inter-Intermediate Touch Rugby tournament was held at Petone Rec on Friday.  Although we did not win Tayne McKinnon R7, William Bower R7 and Daizell Kepa R5 were great players of the day.

Inter-school basketball tournament  – Wednesday 4th November -  some good play but not enough to win.

Inter-school Softball tournamentWednesday 18th at Manor Park.

                      COMMUNITY NOTICES
The No. 2 (Hutt City) Squadron Air Training Corps would appreciate our parents/caregivers filling out this survey regarding activities for teenagers to do around Lower Hutt. Could this be returned to your child’s class please.
